What are the rooms and food like at Amritapuri?

The rooms are very simple: typically mattresses on the floor, with an attached bathroom and shower. The ashram tries to give couples private rooms, while single men and single women stay in dormitories. Simple Indian-style meals come with the accommodation, and non-spicy Western-style food is also available. Basics such as sheets, pillows, mattresses and buckets are provided.
